CELEBRATING 120 YEARS
OF DEVOTION TO ART
AIMS & OBJECTIVES

  • To encourage and develop a more vital interest in and understanding of art.
  • To assist members and local artists by exhibiting and publicizing their work in
    a dignified manner, thus encouraging sales.
  • To acquire a collection of paintings intended as an eventual gift to the
    people of the Greater New Orleans area. These works of art will be on loan
    to public schools and buildings in the community.
  • To present cash prizes in competitive shows held by other local
    organizations.
  • To offer scholarships to talented and serious students.
  • To provide members with exhibitions, lectures, demonstrations, art films,
    workshops and private tours.

The 2009 Pirates Alley Show was a resounding success.  Kudos to Jane
and John Brown and the entire committee for a job well done!!!
